Enhancing educational initiatives – Party Cell Congress 1 (Term 2025–2027) 15-01-2025
On the afternoon of January 10, 2025, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City hosted the Congress of Party Cell 1 for the 2025–2027 term. This congress was selected as the key event of the Party Committee at the university.

Attending the General Assembly were Mr. Phan Hong Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Block Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Rector of the University; Mr. Hoang Do, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Mr. Pham Trung Kien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; along with representatives from various branches at IUH and 24 Party members of Cell 1.

In the summary report for the 2022–2025 term, the Party Committee of Cell 1 affirmed that despite facing numerous challenges, it had made significant efforts in leadership and achieved positive results. Political and ideological education saw notable improvements, and the management and education of Party members were effectively implemented. The cell also ensured proper execution of its responsibilities in cadre organization, assigned tasks appropriately to Party members and committee members, and upheld the Party’s operational principles, particularly democratic centralism, self-criticism, and criticism. Additionally, the quality of cell activities and sub-committee operations gradually improved, ensuring strong leadership and education within the cell.

The Congress also dedicated time to listening to presentations by Mr. Trinh Ngoc Nam, Head of the Department of Science and Technology Management and International Affairs, on "Promoting Science and Technology Activities at Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City," and Mr. Pham Trung Kien, Head of the Human Resource and Administration Department, on "Solutions for Lecturer Development Aligned with the University’s Growth Strategy." These discussions aimed to reinforce the university's role and vision for the future.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Phan Hong Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Block Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Rector of the University, emphasized the significance of the event. He acknowledged, praised, and appreciated the achievements of Cell 1 during the past term while also highlighting its shortcomings and limitations. Additionally, he provided key directives and orientations for the 2025–2027 term, ensuring alignment with the university’s vision, mission, educational philosophy, and core values. His guidance focused on solutions to enhance service quality in training, strengthen learner support and community engagement, and develop human resources within the unit.

With a spirit of innovation and high responsibility, the Congress operated actively, urgently, and in a serious, democratic, and accountable manner. It successfully completed all agenda items and programs in accordance with regulations. The Congress also conducted the election of the Party Committee for the 2025–2027 term, electing three members: Mr. Le Ngoc Son as Secretary, Ms. Pham Thi Que Minh as Deputy Secretary, and Mr. Trinh Ngoc Nam as a Committee Member.
The Congress conducted the election for the new Party Committee, with all candidates receiving 100% of the votes.
Dr. Phan Hong Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Block Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Rector of the University, presented flowers to the newly elected Party Committee for the 2025–2027 term. The committee includes Comrade Le Ngoc Son as Secretary, Comrade Pham Thi Que Minh as Deputy Secretary, and Comrade Trinh Ngoc Nam as a Member of the Subcommittee.
Speaking upon accepting their duties, the newly elected Party Committee pledged to uphold unity within the Cell, demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, adhere to the principle of democratic centralism, and strictly follow working regulations. They committed to leading effectively and ensuring the successful implementation of the Congress Resolution.
