Delegates from Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City attended AUN-QA 2023 international conference in Bangkok, Thailand 12-09-2023
From September 6 to September 8, 2023, the delegation of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City attended international events on higher education quality assurance organized by the ASEAN Network of Higher Education Institutions (AUN-QA) in Bangkok, Thailand.
The AUN - QA International Conference is a special event, marking the return to face-to-face meetings after a 3-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The conference serves as a foundation for member universities to unite to perform well in ensuring the quality of higher education, demonstrating the sustainable commitment of AUN - QA to international standards in higher education.
IUH's delegation at the 2023 AUN-QA International Conference
Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City sent 08 participants, including Prof. Dr. Le Van Tan – Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Science and Technology: Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuc – Head of Testing and Quality Assurance Department, Chief Auditor and leaders of training units and departments of the University.
With the theme "Empowering University Excellence through Quality: Strategies, Systems, Organizational Structures and Quality Assurance in the Context of Post-Pandemic Regional and Global Cooperation", the conference attracted more than 400 delegates from universities, academies, research institutes and associations and organizations from countries in the region and around the world. Participants listened to presentations, shared, and participated in discussions on the topics: Quality assurance in the globalized world of higher education; Quality Assurance and Delivery of World-Class Curriculum; Building quality assurance human resources at universities, challenges and good models; Leadership from the core of improving quality in universities; Design and Development of Quality Assurance System inside AUN-QA...
IUH delegation attended the Conference
At the second event, the AUN-QA Key Staff Meeting mentioned many practical contents for quality assurance, notably: appointment of AUN-QA Council members, presentation of AUN-QA Strategic Plan for the period 2024-2028, adopt the Guidelines for assessing the quality of higher education institutions (version 3.0), report on the quality assessment of training programs, design and development of quality assurance systems within higher education institutions, and admit new members of AUN-QA.
At the 2023 AUN-QA assessors Conference
At the General Meeting of AUN-QA Assessors within the framework of the Conference, the assessors listened to presentations on the contents related to the quality assessment of the training program, participated in group discussions to openly share experiences, and at the same time contribute ideas for improvements, adjust quality assessment activities in the near future.

Industrial University Ho Chi Minh City became a member of AUN – QA in January 2017. Up to now, IUH has had 16 training programs certified with quality standards according to AUN-QA standards. This demonstrates the quality of education and training of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City and demonstrates the strong determination of leaders, officials, and learners in affirming the position of the University in the ASEAN region.
