Closing Ceremony of the 2025 University level Sport Competition 12-05-2025
The Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) held the Closing Ceremony of its 2025 Sports Festival on May 9th. The event was organized by the IUH Trade Union in collaboration with the Youth Union and the IUH Student Association.

Speaking at the ceremory, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Rector; Mr. Hoang Do, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of the Student Support Office; Mr. Le Ngoc Son, Chairman of the University Union, and Director of the Institute of International and Postgraduate Education; and Mr. Le Van Hoang, Secretary of the University's Youth Union. The event also welcomed faculty members, unit leaders, members of the Trade Union Standing Committee, Executive Committee members of the Youth Union and Student Association, as well as Youth Union officers at all levels and numerous student athletes.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong praised the athletes for their competitive spirit and highlighted the vital role of sports in enhancing both physical and mental well-being. He emphasized that sporting activities help foster solidarity within the university community and contribute meaningfully to teaching, learning, and research efforts.
The University-wide Games took place from March to April, drawing the enthusiastic participation of more than 1,400 athletes. In the civil servant and labor sector, over 400 athletes competed in nine sports. Meanwhile, the student division saw more than 1,000 athletes competing in seven different events. After over a month of spirited competition, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 79 prizes to individuals and teams for their outstanding performances.

Civil Servant and Staff Division:
• First Prize: Center of National Defence and Physical Education
• Second Prize: Faculty of Business Administration
• Joint Third Prize: Faculty of Electronics Technology, Office of Services, and Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology.
Male Student Division:
• First Prize: Faculty of Electronics Technology
• Second Prize: School of Finance and Accounting
• Third Prize: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
Female Student Division:
• First Prize: Faculty of Business Administration
• Joint Second Prize: Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology, and School of Finance and Accounting
• Third Prize: Faculty of Electronics Technology
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong and Mr. Le Ngoc Son presented cups and certificates of merit to the team that won first place overall (Center of National Defence and Physical Education).
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong awarded certificates of merit to the group of students who won first prize in the female division (Faculty of Business Administration).
2025 University level Sport concluded successfully, reaffirming its role as an annual event that fosters a healthy and active environment. The festival promoted physical fitness among IUH staff, employees, and students, while also encouraging camaraderie, solidarity, and mutual understanding across departments and units. Through these activities, IUH continues to build a dynamic, united, and well-rounded educational community.
At the closing ceremony, the university commended and awarded certificates of merit to outstanding groups and individuals who made significant contributions. This recognition honored their dedication and served to inspire continued commitment within the student community.
