D-Health wins first prize in INNOGREENLIFE 2021 29-03-2022
Award Ceremony for the contest "Innovation for Green Life - Innogreenlife2021" and Spin-off D-Health Launch took place on March 25th, at Industrial University of Hồ Chí Minh City.
Launched in July 2021, the contest "Innogreenlife2021" attracted 65 projects and ideas. Through 9 other projects at the final round, D-Health - The device that supports online health index monitoring at home of IUH won the first prize of the Startup Innovation Contest for Green Life.
Dr. Phan Hồng Hải – The Rector of Industrial University of Hồ Chí Minh City (IUH) - informed: in addition to training, scientific and technological research and start-up innovation are important tasks of the university. Over the years, the university has paid attention to investing and strongly promoting these tasks. Such attempts are reflected in the number and quality of project topics implemented, increasing international scientific publications. Among them, there are many scientific topics and products that have been applied, bringing benefits to the economy and society.
The products from the "Startup Innovation for Green Life" contest have gone further, ranked in high positions in national competitions, committed by many investment funds. As the university's D-Health startup project was honored to be in the Top 10 outstanding projects of the final round of the National Entrepreneurship Festival for students (SV-Startup 2021) organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. This is also the second time in a row that IUH has representatives attending this playground, after passing hundreds of projects from universities and colleges nationwide.
In particular, IUH's science and technology activities and training are always associated with enterprises. Enterprises are both product recipients, and companion partners who constantly help improve the quality of training, scientific and technological products provided to society.
Dr. Vương Đức Tuấn, Deputy Director of the Southern Work Department (Ministry of Science and Technology) emphasized that start-up innovation plays an important role, and is a measure for the country's development. Strongly contributing to the innovation process, the university is the basic scientific research foundation associated with the application of technology. In recent years, IUH has made a lot of remarkable progress in scientific and technological research, reflected in the achievements of international scientific publications, a significant number of domestic and foreign projects implemented. Technology transfer will be the next step that needs to be focused by IUH, in order to exploit the strengths and potentials of scientific and technological research results, promote the internal capacity of the intellectual class, scientists of the unit, which is the inspiration for the scientific passion of students and the younger generation.
In addition to a first prize, the contest organizers awarded 1 second prize, 1 third prize and awarded certificates to the Top 10 finalists and top 20 projects that entered the contest idea screening round.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded certificates for: The most innovative project: E-farm - a solution to connect and develop the value chain for Vietnamese agriproducts; Favorite project: M.E - Vitis Green Tablet Towel; Best Startup Student Project: DR MOON - Fresh Ice Cream "vegan- ice cream"; Best Female Founder: ECOWHEEL - application of environmental protection technology and traffic participation support and the most impressive startup project: GOODFOOD4.0 - Calorie control application through each daily / weekly meal.
During the Award Ceremony, the memorandum of understanding between D-Group Holding Investment Fund and IUH was signed; cooperation agreements were signed with 7 companies (DNA Vietnam Joint Stock Company, Thuận Hưng, Thiên Trường Company, Gotrust Company, Uniworld Company, Electric Bird Company, MPA Company, Chatbot Company) in training, research and development and production.
On this occasion, Dr. Phan Hong Hai – the Rector of IUH has handed over the decision to establish Spin off business - D-Health Technology.
