A further four study programmes of IUH received certificates certified under the AUN-QA programme framework 20-11-2019

On the afternoon of 19 November 2019, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) solemnly hosted the award ceremony for the four study programmes receiving certificates certified under the AUN-QA programme framework in the Vietnamese Teacher’s Day celebration ceremony 20 November 2019.

t’s pleasure for IUH to have the attendance of distinguished guests: Mr Le An Hai - Deputy Chief of Office in charge with other officers from Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) headquarter, Dr Mai Van Trinh – Director General, Viet Nam Education Quality Management Agency under the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), Dr Johnson Ong Chee Bin on behalf of the ASEAN University Network and AUN-QA Network, together with representatives from center and local agencies and organizations, former university leaders, university partners, and all teaching and administrative staff of IUH.

In the ceremony, Dr Nguyen Thien Tue - IUH’s President, excitedly announced the success of accreditation mission and quality assurance in recent years. In the coming years, IUH will continuously focus on developing the quality assurance officers, aiming to have almost study programmes certified under the AUN-QA programme framework AUN-QA and ABET, and specially, under the AUN-QA institutional framework AUN-QA by 2020.

In the ceremony, also, Dr Johnson Ong Chee Bin, on behalf of the AUN-QA Network presented certificates for the 4 study programmes that had been successfully assessed in the 154th AUN-QA Programme Assessment, Version 3.0: Automotive Engineering Technology programme, Business Administration programme, Accounting programme, and English Language programme. In his speech, he highlighted efforts of IUH’s leaders and staff. This fruitful achievement expresses the university commitment on education quality enhancement and assurance to meet stakeholders’ requirements and global integration.

Dr Mai Van Trinh – Director General, Viet Nam Education Quality Management Agency under the Ministry of Education and Training delivered his congratulation speech: “At the moment, IUH is the first one in the institution system under the MoIT having eight study programmes certified under the AUN-QA programme framework. This fruitful achievement expresses the university commitment on education quality enhancement, quality assurance, meeting the need of high quality manpower and global integration”.

The four Faculties receive certificates certified under the AUN-QA programme framework

In June 2018, IUH had also have the first four study programmes assessed under the AUN-QA programme framework. As a result, all four programmes were highly recognized in term of good quality and organization. In August 2019, a further four study programmes had the 154th AUN-QA Programme Assessment. As a result, also, all four programmes, including Automotive Engineering Technology programme, Business Administration programme, Accounting programme, and English Language programme received very highly recognization, contributing to the increasing the total number of study programmes at IUH certified under the AUN-QA programme framework, up to eight. This is actually considered as a meaningful present celebrating the Vietnamese Teacher’s Day 20 November, recognizing efforts and commitment of IUH’s leaders and staff in the academic 2018-2019.

IUH is, also, the first one in the institution system under Vietnam MoIT having many study programmes certified under the AUN-QA programme framework. This achievement shows the university high leader commitment and staff consensus; in addition, consolidating IUH’s reputation in country and in ASEAN region.

On the occasion of the Vietnamese Teacher’s Day 20 November, on behalf of the Party Committee and leaders of MoIT, Minister Tran Tuan Anh, had sent congratulation letter to all leaders and staff of the university.

On behalf of the Minister of Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade, representatives from the headquarter had awarded Certificate of Merits awarded by Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade to seven divisions, 33 individuals and 17 ministerial-class excellent staff.

Furthermore, IUH also awarded merit recognition to teaching staffs who received title of typically outstanding young teaching staff and young – excellent – friendly administrative staff; individuals and teams won medal in teaching and music festival in the academic year of 2019 - 2020.
