4th IUH Young Science Conference 2022 - An incubator for passion for scientific research 16-10-2022
In recent years, scientific research activities at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) have made significant progress with an increasing number of quality scientific research works. Young researchers – students, postgraduate students and young lecturers at the university have contributed to that success.
With the theme "Unlocking intellectuals – Creating the future", the 4th Young Science Conference – 2022 was solemnly organized by IUH with the desire to promote the scientific research movement among students and young lecturers, develop highly applicable scientific and technological products, serving the needs of society in the current period. This is also a playground for exchanging, learning, strengthening the connection and sharing of knowledge among young scientists about the impact of integration and the industrial revolution 4.0 on the industry groups that the school trains.
Attendees at the conference were Mr. Quan Quốc Đăng – Department of Southern Work, Ministry of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Tùng – Deputy General Director of Cà Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company; Mr. Nguyễn Duy Hải – Director of Cà Mau Protein Factory; Mr. Ngô Võ Kế Thành – Director of Hi-Tech Research Center – Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park; Mr. Trịnh Xuân Thắng – Deputy Director of Hi-Tech Implementation Research Center – Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park; Prof. Marlies Brunner (Federal Republic of Germany). IUH sent Dr. Phan Hồng Hải – the Rector; Prof.Dr. Lê Văn Tán – the Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hồng – the Vice Rector. The conference also welcomed many interested teachers, researchers, and scientists.
Starting from March 7, 2022, after more than 7 months of implementation, the Organizing Committee has received 478 submissions to attend the conference, of which 150 are satisfactory and posted in the proceeding. The number of authors participating in writing the article was 1166 people, including more than 200 young lecturers, 850 students, 100 graduate students, 10 international students and 100 other students. The conference also selected 30 posters to display in Hall H on October 13-14, 2022, for lecturers and students to visit. The professional advisory board graded and selected the 10 best posters to present during the opening session.
On the morning of 14/10/2022, the opening session of the Conference was solemnly held at the E4 hall, with the participation of more than 500 delegates. Attendees included teachers in the Party Committee – Rector Board, professional advisors, heads - deputy leaders of training units and nearly 500 young students and researchers. After the opening speech, the Organizers awarded the Unit with the most participating articles to the Faculty of Finance and Banking with 141 articles and 11 excellent poster awards.
Also within the framework of the program, delegates heard the presentation "Metal nanoparticles for antibacterial activity, catalyzing organic metabolism and sensors to detect heavy metal ions and small organic molecules" of Dr. Đoàn Văn Đạt – Head of Department of Basic Chemistry, Faculty of Chemical Technology – IUH and presentation: "Motivation for scientific research: Perspectives from young researchers" of Dr. Bùi Thành Khoa, Head of E-Commerce Department, Faculty of Commerce and Tourism form IUH.
According to the general assessment from the professional advisory council, the quality of the entries is very good. There are many new research directions that can be further developed. Especially among them, there are many articles eligible for submission to Science and Technology Journals.
After the plenary opening session, the authors will present at the specialized panels. Introduction to the presentation session at the subcommittees in the field of Economics, Biochemistry and Environment, Information Technology - Electricity- Electronics, and Social Sciences - Humanities.
