2022 Faculty and Staff Meeting 20-02-2022
On February 17, 2022, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City solemnly organized the 2022 Faculty and Staff Meeting to summarize and evaluate the implementation of the Resolution of the 2021-Faculty-and-Staff Meeting; develop a specific plan for the successful implementation of the 2022 resolution; at the same time, report on the results of people's inspection activities in 2021.
Attendees of the conference include superior representative-Comrade Nguyễn Thị Thanh Mai, Deputy Chief of Office, in charge of the Southern Labor Union Office. Representative from IUH, Mr. Phan Hồng Hải – Party Secretary, the Rector, Mr. Phạm Thanh Tùng – Chairman of the University Labor Union, along with lecturers in the Party Committee, The Board of Rectors, The University Labor Union Executive Committee and nearly 250 delegates who are representatives of employees.
Previously, from January 17 to 18, 2022, the Faculty and Staff meetings at the unit level were organized to summarize the unit's operation report, bringing out the direction of operation in the coming year. At the same time, it has elected delegates representing faculty and staff of the unit to attend the 2022 Faculty and Staff Meeting at the university level.
At the conference, delegates were shown a report summaring the work in 2021 and the mission direction in 2022 via a lively demonstration video. 2021 has been a challenging year for the university. In the face of the complicated COVID-19 epidemic, the University focuses constantly on improving the quality of training and scientific research at the university, IUH is currently in the TOP 601+ of the best universities in Asia (According to QS Ranking), achieving QS 4-Star; There are 12 accredited training programs to meet AUN-QA standards, and 6 programs have been evaluated according to ABET standards. The school's enrollment has reached 104.97% of the planned target, the quality of input is maintained at a fairly high level; Organize and implement well the emulation movements to teach well, contributing to the victory of the school's political mission. In particular, despite being heavily affected by the Covid 19 epidemic, thanks to the early implementation of effective online teaching and learning, the training plan has been completed on schedule. In addition to the achievements, there are still some limitations need to be addressed. For instance, the research work is still not highly applicable, some activities have not been internationalized ...
After the 2021 summary report, Mr. Phan Hồng Hải presented a draft amendment to the contents of the Internal Financial Regulation in 2022.
Also at the conference, Mr. Lê Ngọc Sơn – Member of the Standing Committee of the Labor Union, Head of the People's Inspection Board presented the report on the results of people's inspection activities in 2021.
Next, on behalf of the Executive Committee of the School Labor Union, Mr. Phạm Thanh Tùng - Chairman of the Labor Union has gathered the opinions and recommendations of officials and employees. During the discussion time of the conference, the Presidium received many constructive comments from the delegates. The comments were received and answered at the conference by the Rector.
At the conference, delegates heard the presentation "Some solutions to promote technology transfer at Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trịnh Ngọc Nam – Head of Science Management and International Affair Office, the presentation "Building quality culture at the university in the current context" of Dr. Nguyễn Huy Phúc – Head of Testing and Quality Assurance Office and the presentation "Some proposed solutions to enhance the operational efficiency of IUH" of Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Công – Senior Lecturer of The Faculty of Accounting - Auditing. Along with that, there are many opinions to contribute to the school's activities in 2022.
At the end of the conference, on behalf of the Secretariat, Mr. Phạm Trung Kiên - Head of The Human Resource and Administration Office adopted the Resolution of the 2022 Faculty and Staff Meeting. The conference attendees unanimously voted for the contents and targets to strive for implementation in 2022 with 100% of the delegates voting in favor.
