13th Party Congress of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2020 - 2025: Democracy - Creativity - Solidarity - Integration 13-06-2020
On June 12, 2020, at Hall E4, the Party Committee of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) solemnly organized the 13th Party Congress of the Ministry of Sessions, term 2020 - 2025.
Musical performance to welcome the Congress
It was a great honor for the Congress to welcome Mr. Tran Xuan Dien – Party Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City and comrades representing the Standing Committee, The Executive Committee of the Block Party Committee. Representatives of the IUH’s Party Committee are Comrade Phan Hong Hai – Deputy Secretary in charge of IUH’s Party Committee, The Rector; Comrades in the Party Executive Committee and 100 official delegates representing more than 500 party members in 23 branches of the university.

In the opening speech, comrade Phan Hong Hai emphasized the special significance of this congress, marking many important milestones in the process of forming and developing the school, and continuing to orient the school to become a leading unit in training in the direction of application, to be accredited by accrediting organizations in the region and around the world. In the last term, the Party Committee has led and directed all aspects of IUH's activities. The Party Committee of the School is a unified block, united in overcoming difficulties and challenges, successfully completing the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress of IUHs, term 2015 - 2020. Party members have highly promoted the pioneering and responsibility in successfully implementing the Party's policies and guidelines, fulfilling targets on staff building, training and scientific research.

The Congress discussed, contributed opinions and voted for the 12th Party Political Report, term 2015 - 2020, review report of the IUH Party Executive Committee for the term of 2015 - 2020. During the preparatory session, the Congress also received many comments for the draft document of the Party Congress of the School, as well as the draft document of the National Party Congress.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Tran Xuan Dien praised the results that the Party Committee of IUH achieved in the term of 2015 - 2020, in particular, he praised a number of targets that exceeded the plan such as party development, emulation titles and quality control. He also emphasized that the complex developments of the world's political and economic situation will have a major impact on IUH during the booming Industrial Revolution 4.0. IUH needs to have specific strategies of action and solutions, take advantage of all available resources at the premise, need to link training with social needs to develop appropriate enrollment targets; raise the exiting standard for students, enhance the fostering of soft skills, focus on training moral qualities, lifestyle, nurture dreams and ambitions among students. For party building, it is necessary to promote political and ideological education for officers- lecturers and students to prevent moral degradation, self-evolution and self-transformation; The Party Committee also needs to focus on leading the implementation of resolution No. 35-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018 of the 12th Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views in the new situation"...

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2020-2025 term of 15 comrades; electing the delegation to the 5th Party Congress of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City consisting of 12 official delegates and 02 alternate delegates.
