The visit of The University of Queensland 28-07-2017
On 28 July 2017, Mr Phillip Fredericks – Deputy Director of the Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE), the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia and Ms Thai Thi Cam Chi - ICTE Vietnam Representative had meeting with IUH’s leaders to discuss on possible and feasible cooperation in near future between the two institutions.

As introduced by Mr Phillip Fredericks, UQ has set up relationships with many universities in Vietnam, especially, with Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training in term of English teaching – Vietnam's National Foreign Language 2020 Project.
UQ is a research university primarily located in Queensland's capital city, Brisbane, Australia and is considered as one of Australia's leading universities, also, is one of Australia's oldest universities in Australia; being ranked as one of 8 leading universities in Australia; a member of Australia's research-intensive Group of Eight, and the global Universitas 21 network. UQ is ranked in the top 40 universities worldwide by "Times Higher Education Supplement". The current volume of student is 50.000 sinh in which 15.000 are foreign students and over 5.000 lecturers and staff and managment. Among UQ’s lectures, 21 one are Vietnamese-Australian working at UQ.
IUH’s leaders expressed its ambition of improving research activities, and teaching at IUH in collaboration with UQ, especialy, focusing on teaching English for lecturers and researchers who are interesting in writing papers in English and then publish them on famous journals.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agree to continuous have such valuable meeting. both sides basically agreed to initially set up relationship for the near future and details will be discussed in the next meeting
