5 IUH Students Travel to Russia for Nuclear Power Exchange Program: A Step Toward International Cooperation and New Academic Pathways 23-07-2025
The Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) has recently sent five engineering students to participate in an academic exchange and internship program at Ural Federal University (UrFU) in Ekaterinburg, Russia — a leading center for nuclear power research and education. This initiative marks the beginning of IUH’s efforts to foster international cooperation and prepare high-quality human resources for its new Nuclear Power Engineering program, which will officially launch in 2025.

International Cooperation to Develop Strategic Human Resources
With a strong focus on the internationalization of education, IUH continues to expand its partnerships with leading global research institutions and energy enterprises. Sending students to Russia not only offers them valuable exposure to modern academic environments but also serves as a vital preparation step in developing a skilled workforce for Vietnam’s future sustainable energy security.
In Russia, IUH students will study and conduct research at Ural Federal University (UrFU) — one of the top 10 universities in Russia, located in Ekaterinburg. UrFU is a premier center for nuclear energy, materials science, and automation technology, and is also a strategic partner of Rosatom, the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation. With a history of over 100 years, UrFU has trained tens of thousands of engineers, scientists, and experts from numerous countries. The university boasts state-of-the-art nuclear power plant simulation labs and a highly reputable faculty team.
