MoU Signing Ceremony with Szent István University (SZIU) from Hungary 13-10-2017
On October 12, 2017, the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding is held between the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) and the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of Szent István University (SZIU) from Hungary. It was a great honor for both institution to receive the attending as witnesses of His Excellency Sir Bus Szilveszter - Deputy Minister of State for the Opening to the South, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Sir Csaba Őry - Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam, Dr Baloghdi Tibor - Hungarian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. To SZIU, Professor Posta Katalin – Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences standing for the Faculty. To IUH, participation including Dr Nguyen Thien Tue - President, Assoc. Prof. Dr Le Van Tan – Vice President, Dr Nguyen Chi Hieu – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr Đam Sao Mai - Director of the Institute, together with some leaders and lecturers of the Institute.

In the ceremony, President Nguyen Thien Tue expressed the pleasure to welcome the attending of His Excellency Hungarian diplomatic officers and representative of Szent István University (SZIU) from Hungary. He also expressed the highly recognition as Hungarian advanced education system from Vietnamese perspective; this MoU ceremony would become an initial driving mile stone for setting up relationship with Hungarians universities in near future.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is delivering his remarkable speech
Responding to IUH’s President, His Excellency Sir Bus Szilveszter - Deputy Minister of State for the Opening to the South, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade expressed his appreciation to the warmly welcoming receipt of IUH’s leaders. He also mentioned some recent changes on scholarships given by Hungarian Government for Vietnamese students in which quota number increases from 100 to 200 ones per year. With such changes, Vietnamese students will have more opportunities to study in an advanced education system in Hungary.
The MoU’s content focuses on student exchange, academic and managerial staff exchange, research exchange and academic exchange. The cooperation, at first between the two institute, brings opportunities, not only for the students and academic staff of the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology but also the students and academic staff of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City to approach Hungarian advanced education as well.
