Top 5- IUH Breakthrough on Webometrics Chart 04-08-2021

In July 2021, Webometrics Rankings announced the results for the second time in 2021. Accordingly, The Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) has climbed up 03 levels, from 8th to 5th out of 179 schools in Vietnam to participate in this year's ranking. This is a testament to the continuous efforts of IUH teachers on the journey to improve academic reputation in Asia, towards international education standards.

Webometrics is a ranking of all universities in the world (not a few hundred from developed countries) conducted by Cybermetrics Labs since 2004 and publishes only one Global Ranking of Universities in an annual publication. Currently, this ranking includes more than 31,000 higher education institutions globally.

Measurement indicators include visibility, transparency or openness, and excellence of scholar, which are a result of a careful investigation and not in the opinion of the subjective choice of any user or organization.

IUH strives to improve the quality of training.

The results of scientific research are important criteria for ranking according to Webometrics, these results include not only official publications (electronic journals, scientific databases) but also formal academic interactions such as exchanges or seminars between lecturers, student research, funding in research...

IUH's efforts from the construction of legitimate communication channels to provide useful information, promote communication in the online environment, organize activities to connect the scientific research community, organizations, businesses, individuals to bring initiatives, to propose practical solutions to contribute to social development, has increased IUH position in webometrics ranking system in 2021. Obviously, building and developing a good website with a lot of useful information, related to the school has brought many practical effects. In addition, a website of good quality, a large number of followers and updates will be an important information channel, making it easy for IUH to reach potential audiences, as well as disseminate information to the community and localities, who have a profound impact on academic reputation or apply research achievements of the unit.

The 5th-ranked result marked a robust upgrade, IUH's continuous efforts in implementing effective solutions to implement its strategy in improving its position on global education rankings. Previously, IUH also ranked 601+ in the QS-Ranking in 2020.
