National Food Science and Technology Conference 2023 - Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) 11-06-2023

Food quality and safety is an attention-grabbing issue of the Vietnamese government, scientists, businesses, and the whole society.

Applied research and technology transfer, especially in the field of biology and food to create safe products with high nutritional value, is one of the development orientations of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) and the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST).

Therefore, IUH and VAFoST have worked together to organize a scientific conference with the theme: "Food Quality and Safety for Public Health" on June 9 and 10, 2023.

The conference is a forum for scientists from universities, research institutes and enterprises to announce new research, with practical application, related to "food" and "food safety". The conference is also a forum for scientists and businesses to exchange, and share scientific experiences associated with applications in production, preservation and food safety.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dam Sao Mai, Vice Rector of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Organizing Committee, this scientific conference also creates conditions for young scientists to be passionate and pursue the path of scientific research for public health.

In addition to the scientific forum and discussion on issues of "food safety and public health", the conference also honored individuals, scientific units and businesses that have contributed to food issues in general and food safety associated with public health in particular.

The organizing committee of the scientific conference also received congratulatory letters from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.

The scientific conference "Food Quality and Safety for Public Health" was held with "plenary sessions" and "private sessions" on the following topics: (i) Nutrition, food safety and clean production; (ii) Food science and engineering; (iii) Food processing and post-harvest preservation technology.

This scientific conference also received attention and sponsorship from leading enterprises in the food sector such as: Ba Dinh Technology Joint Stock Company and Phuong Minh Trading and Import Export Joint Stock Company (gold sponsor); Nutricare Nutrition Joint Stock Company and Ajinomoto Vietnam Company (silver sponsor) and many other sponsoring enterprises.
