IUH visited and worked at Hanoi University of Industry 01-12-2023

On November 30, 2023, representatives from the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) visited and collaborated with Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) to exchange experiences and foster broad cooperation in the areas of governance, training, scientific research, and innovation. The aim of this collaboration is to enhance the quality of education and elevate the brand reputation of both domestic and international educational institutions

During the meeting, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, the Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, provided an overview of the institution's 125-year history of construction and development, highlighting significant achievements. Notably, he emphasized the innovative models of "School within School" and "Enterprise within School." The vision for the future involves Hanoi University of Industry evolving into a larger entity with 3-5 affiliated schools by 2025, aligning with the demands of modern management, training, and a new organizational model. In the current context, the university is committed to development based on three main pillars: Education, Science and Technology, and Community Service.

Representing the IUH Delegation, Dr. Phan Hong Hai, Party Secretary and Chairman of the School Board, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and the insightful sharing of opinions. He affirmed that the discussions and collaboration during the meeting would provide valuable experiences for IUH, particularly in the practical application of transforming the university model, developing business models within the university, and enhancing effectiveness in management, training, scientific research, and international cooperation. Dr. Phan Hong Hai emphasized that these efforts aim to fortify and deepen the cooperative relationship between the two educational institutions.

During the meeting, IUH and HaUI officially signed a memorandum of cooperation. According to the terms of the memorandum, the two universities have committed to collaborating closely in the areas of education and training, as well as in the fields of science, technology, and international cooperation. This agreement solidifies their mutual commitment to fostering a robust partnership in these key areas.

In the realm of education and training, the collaboration between IUH and HaUI encompasses several key initiatives. These include the development of programs aligned with international accreditation standards such as ABET and FIBAA, the training and enhancement of lecturers in effective teaching methods and performance assessment techniques, mutual recognition of training processes and credit values to facilitate student exchange, establishment of advanced laboratories for both training and research, facilitation of international student exchange programs, academic exchanges, graduate training, and resource sharing. Additionally, the partnership involves the creation and sharing of learning materials, organization of practical training and internships for students in tourism and hospitality at the Thanh Hoa Campus, and the implementation of programs to send IUH students abroad for study, practice, and work through collaborations with Letco – HaUI company.

In the domain of science and technology as well as international cooperation, the collaboration between IUH and HaUI extends to various facets. This includes joint efforts in research and scientific publication, the organization of scientific conferences and seminars, support and coordination in developing intellectual property networks and facilitating technology transfer. The partnership also involves resource sharing between the two universities, including a team of international experts and professors engaged in teaching and scientific research. Furthermore, they collaborate in peer matching and the evaluation of higher education institutions and program ratings, as well as establishing a coordination mechanism for association within QS ratings.

As part of the meeting's agenda, the delegation from the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City also visited the Traditional Department and several other departments within Hanoi University of Industry.
