IUH meets 4-star international standard - QS Stars 18-10-2021

According to the results announced by the world's leading prestigious QS-Quacquarelli Symonds in September 2021, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) meets 4-star QS. The QS-Star project began to be implemented by IUH in 2019. Thanks to continuous efforts and improvements year by year, by 2021, the reassessed results show that IUH has achieved very high results with a score of 684/500.

This is the result of the continuous efforts of the University throughout the past time, with an objective and rigorous and accurate assessment process according to the QS Star Standards with 8 specific standards including: Teaching; Employability; Internationalization; Academic Development; Program Strength; Facilities; Social responsibility; Inclusiveness. In particular, the standards of Teaching, Facilities, Employability, Academic Development, Inclusiveness, IUH have excellently achieved 5 stars.

5-star criteria of Industrial University of Hochiminh City

Inclusiveness is a comprehensive criterion that demonstrates the University's interest in students, as well as ensuring fairness for the vulnerable. Every year, IUH allots more than VND25 billion for the Student Scholarship Fund with good academic achievement. In 2021 alone, in order to support students affected by COVID-19, the University has alloted a total of VND 60 billion to establish a Scholarship Fund and a Supporting Fund to aid students affected by COVID-19. Although the area is small, the school's facilities still ensure all the conditions for students such as Dormitories, Fitness Center, Modern spacious Library ... The training programs are updated with innovation and ensure the standards of prestigious accrediting organizations such as AUN, ABET along with academic and research support for students at the training units, student satisfaction is always over 87%. These are the reasons IUH achieves 5 stars in facilities standards, Teaching and Academic Development. Employability standards are highly appreciated when the percentage of graduates with jobs always reaches over 95%. This is the result of the quality of training as well as synchronous solutions to help students access job positions while still studying at the university such as Internships, Business Visits, Soft Skills Training and recruitment training sessions. Especially, every year, IUH always organizes at least 02 Recruitment Festivals, attracting more than 80 businesses and corporations with thousands of vacancies.

According to QS Stars: "The university rated 4 stars is a highly internationalized university, reflecting the excellence in scientific research and training; It is the ideal teaching and learning environment for teachers and students." This is one of the results for the effort process to build Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City in the direction of application, innovation and international integration throughout the years.

Hopefully in the near future, based on QS's in-depth analysis of strengths and proposed improvements to the unit to develop better, IUH can achieve even higher scores.

QS (Quacquarelli Symonds Ltd.) is a British organization, specializing in activities in the field of education and oversea studies founded in 1990 by Nunzio Quacquarelli. In 2010, QS released the QS World University Rankings and became one of the three most prestigious global rankings, alongside the Times Higher Education (THE) and Academic Ranking of World University (ARWU).

QS Stars is a product that evaluates the quality of education of a university and is offered star with a scale of 1 star to 5 star+ (5 Star Plus). QS Stars consists of 8 standard groups and more than 50 criteria that help comprehensively evaluate the main activities of a university. Evaluating the activities and actual achievements of the institution, QS Star conducts the classification of units based on the scale. Accordingly, the 1-star standard (reaching 100/1000 points); 2 stars (250/1000 points); 3 stars (400/1000 points); 4 stars (550/1000 points); 5 stars (700/1000 points).
