IUH Conducts Live-Fire Training for the Self-Defense Forces 04-12-2023
On December 2, 2023, the Military Command of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Command, organized the live-fire training deployment, specifically the AK 1B shooting exercises, for the Self-Defense Forces in 2023.
Among the attendees at the Self-Defense Force Training in 2023 were representatives of the Rector Board, including Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hong, Vice Rector and Commander of the IUH Military Command Board, and Comrade Pham Ngoc Anh, Deputy Commander and Deputy Director of the Center for National Defense and Physical Education, alongside 92 officers and soldiers of the IUH self-defense unit.
The IUH Self-Defense Force participates in live-fire training.
The training program took place at the Ho Chi Minh City Command Firing Range in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City. This session constituted one of the planned training activities for the IUH self-defense force in 2023. Throughout the entire training period, the self-defense unit exhibited enthusiasm, a high level of responsibility, and strict adherence to training regulations, particularly during the live-fire exercises featuring AK submachine guns (Post 1B). The Military Command and the self-defense unit meticulously followed regulations and superior instructions to guarantee safety during the training. As a result, the live-fire test of the AK Submachine Gun Post 1B for the University's Self-Defense Force unit ensured the absolute safety of both individuals and weaponry.

At the training session, the IUH Military Command awarded individuals and squads with high test results.
Regarding the collective prizes:
- The First Prize went to 8th Self-Defense Battalion – 3rd Platoon.
- The Second Prize went to 9th Self-Defense Battalion – 3rd Platoon.
- The Third Prize went to the 6th Self-Defense Battalion – 2nd Platoon.
Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hong presented the award to the squad leader of the 9th Self-Defense Platoon.
Regarding the individual prizes:
- First prize belongs to Comrade Bui Luong Thu Anh – 7th Self-Defense Battalion – 3rd Platoon.
- The second place went to Comrade Pham Thanh Hung – 6th Self-Defense Battalion – 2nd Platoon.
- The third place went to Comrade Hoang Thi My Hanh – 8th Self-Defense Battalion – 3rd Platoon.
Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hong awarded individuals with excellent achievements in the test.
