In the afternoon of April 19, 2023, at Hall E.4, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) solemnly held a ceremony to announce the decision, award the certificate of conformity with the accreditation standards at the educational institution level and the UPM benchmark ranking at the educational institution, and training program.
Attending the program was the presence of Assoc. Dr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director General of Quality Management Department - Ministry of Education and Training; ASS. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam - Director of Education Accreditation Center - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. La Hoai Tuan – Chief of Office of Education Accreditation Center - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; GS. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc – Former Deputy Director of Hanoi National University, Founding Chairman of UPM Institute. On IUH's side, there was the presence of Dr. Phan Hong Hai – the Rector, together with lecturers in the Party Committee, Rector Board, Head and Deputy Heads of units under the school.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Phan Hong Hai –the Rector expressed his thanks to the assessment team as well as the Education Accreditation Center. After a period of serious, transparent, professional and objective assessment, the results and suggestions of the assessment team are a reference for the school to review its position and future development direction. "Despite many difficulties, with the efforts and solidarity of the whole school team, we have gradually affirmed the quality on the education map in the country and the region. This is an important milestone for us to review our development strategy and make appropriate adjustments in the coming time" – Dr. Phan Hong Hai affirmed.

In recognition of the university's efforts in accreditation and ranking of educational institutions, Assoc. Dr. Huynh Van Chuong – Director General of Quality Management Department attended and congratulated the achievements that the IUH has achieved in recent years. According to Mr. Chuong, quality assurance and accreditation is an objective trend today, especially for autonomous universities, which need the objective and transparent assessment of independent quality accreditation organizations. He also sent a message to IUH: "Currently, IUH has done a great job of improving quality, as well as maintaining 04 pillars: strategy, institutions, functions and output standards. However, to make steadier strides, putting rankings and accreditation as criteria to help students choose prestigious universities, the school team needs to make more effort. It is necessary to continue to focus on digital transformation and data integration, as well as review the quality of training programs that have finished the accreditation cycle, and make improvements to match social needs."
From 20 to 24/12/2022, the external assessment team of the National Higher Education Accreditation Center Ho Chi Minh City led by Dr. Nguyen Duc Nghia - came for the official survey at the school. The external audit team has carried out the quality assessment in accordance with regulations and processes, ensuring independence, objectivity, openness and transparency. At the ceremony, Mr. La Hoai Tuan - Chief of Office of the Education Accreditation Center - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City announced the Decision to recognize the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City as meeting the quality standards of educational institutions. Attending and presenting the certificate for IUH, Assoc. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam – Director of Education Accreditation Center – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City HCMC stated: "The Council has unanimously recognized Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City as meeting the education quality standards at the institutional level according to Circular 12/2017 of the Ministry of Education and Training with very high scores. The average scores of the standards in each field are as follows: Strategic Quality Assurance 4.02, System Quality Assurance 4.31, Quality Assurance on Functional Performance 4.09, Performance 3.90. In my opinion, IUH has maintained a very deep and broad quality assurance culture at the school."

Also at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc – Former Deputy Director of Hanoi National University, Founding Chairman of UPM Institute awarded the 5-star rating certificate to the University and 03 training programs: Chemical Engineering Technology (Research-oriented), Food Technology, Electronics - Telecommunications Engineering Technology (Application-oriented). Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc also shared: "Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City has achieved 5-star standards, application-oriented universities according to UPM (University Performance Metrics) Rankings. Accordingly, IUH has 5/8 criteria to achieve 5/5 stars overall: Strategic orientation, Scientific research, Digital transformation, Innovation and Community service. Especially, with the criterion of 05 stars according to the research orientation of the Chemical Engineering Technology program, it clearly demonstrates the research capacity of the school's teaching staff."
