IUH and Roboworld Sign Cooperation Agreement to Promote Research and Training in Robotics 11-09-2025

With the motto of prioritizing students’ benefits, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (IUH) continuously strengthens cooperation with enterprises to expand spaces for experience and innovation, while affirming students’ capabilities.

On the morning of September 10, IUH and Roboworld Corporation officially signed a cooperation agreement, opening numerous opportunities in training, research, internships, and career development.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Đàm Sao Mai – Vice Rector; Dr. Trịnh Ngọc Nam – Head of the Office of Science Management and International Cooperation; Dr. Trần Thanh Ngọc – Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology; together with leaders of various faculties, institutes, and centers. From Roboworld, participants included Mr. Lê Hoàng Hoán – Director, Ms. Trần Thị Diên Hoan – Director of the Finance Division, and other representatives.

The cooperation agreement aims to leverage the strengths of both sides, effectively utilizing human resources, facilities, and expertise to train high-quality human capital. Under the partnership, IUH’s lecturers and students will collaborate with Roboworld’s technical team to research and develop jointly branded robotic products. The University will provide human resources for production, business, and marketing activities. At the same time, Roboworld will handle intellectual property registration, quality testing, commercialization, pilot production, product distribution, and sponsorship for relevant scientific conferences and workshops.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Đàm Sao Mai emphasized: “IUH’s sustainable education development strategy always places enterprise partnership as a top priority, to provide students with a learning environment closely linked to real-world practice.”

Representing Roboworld, Mr. Lê Hoàng Hoán stated: “Roboworld has strengths in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), and we wish to cooperate with IUH to invest in research, product development, and technology transfer. With its strong technical training, especially in mechatronics, IUH offers a solid foundation for collaboration, contributing to advancing Vietnam’s robotics industry to new heights.”

After the signing, IUH representatives guided Roboworld’s delegation to visit the Robotics Laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Inaugurated in April 2025, the lab is equipped with four next-generation robots serving research and teaching purposes. The cooperation with Roboworld is expected to become an important stepping stone, helping Electrical Engineering students gain hands-on experience, expand scientific research opportunities, and develop robotic products that meet market demand while delivering sustainable value to society.
