The Signing Ceremony of Establishing the Training Center for Distribution Manpower in Ho Chi Minh City 14-04-2017
On 14 April, 2017, representatives of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH), the Re-Shaping Development Institute (ReDI), and the International Cooperation Department of Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) joined the signing ceremony of establishing the Training Center for Distribution Manpower in Ho Chi Minh City.
The establishment and operation of LKIC in Ho Chi Minh city is one of the inseparable components of ‘Capacity Building Project for Inclusive Development of Vietnam's Distribution Industry’ (LOTTE-KOICA-MOIT Project) which was approved by Decision No. 4362/QD-BCT of the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam dated November 2nd, 2016.

Attending at the signing ceremony, there were some representatives from the parties. Representatives from MoIT include Mr Le Huu Phuc - Director of the International Cooperation Department; Mr. Lai Tuan Vuong - Head of Southern Division on Education and Training Management, Department of Human Resources Development; Representatives from the ReDI includes Dr. Lee Tae Joo - President of the Re-Shaping Development Institute; Dr. Kim Young Wook – Technical Vocational Education and Training Expert; Ms. Lee Sun Ju - Field Manager. Representatives from IUH includes Dr. Nguyen Thien Tue - President; members of the Board of Directors and the Directors/Deans from functional offices, academic faculties and institutions of economic field.
At the ceremony, the parties’ leaders showed the exciting attitude to the launch of the LOTTE-KOICA-MOIT Project in Ho Chi Minh City in which IUH is addressed for placing the Project Management Office (PMO) to operating and managing the project. The parties’ leaders are looking for the fruitful achievement of the project in term of providing a number of skillful manpower for the distribution industry inside and outside the country.

As scheduled, the LOTTE-KOICA-IUH Center in Ho Chi Minh City will offer suitable short-term training courses for the different groups of trainees: Job seeker course, Refresher course, and Small trader course with the training duration of 1 week, 2 weeks or 1.5 month depending on the particular groups of trainees. The training courses will be taken place in IUH with teaching participation of experienced lecturers and experts.
