The 2018 World Korean Educators Conference in Seoul, Korea 19-07-2018

With the invitation from the King Sejong Institute Foundation, Korea, the two representatives from the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vice President Dr. Phan Hong Hai and Deputy Director of the Office of Research Management and International Cooperation Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh joined the conference held from 9 to 11 July 2018 in Seoul, Korea.

The 2018 World Korean Educators Conference covered some activities including: (1) Recognizing of 7 excellent Korean language and cultural centers of King Sejong in the world for their outstanding performance in 2018; (2) presenting reports and discussions on operation of Sejong centers in the world; (3) participating in art and cultural exchange activities in Seoul. In the conference, the King Sejong Institute Foundation awarded the Recognition medal to IUH for its valuable support in promoting the Korean language teaching and cultural exchange activities in the last two years.

Apart from participating in the event’s activities, IUH’s representatives also had chance to make acquaintance with representatives from different Sejong centers from other countries such as Brazil, Cambodia, China, Lithuania, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Turkey. The conference was also a chance for all participants to have further understanding of Korean language teaching and cultural exchange activities in the world as well as establishing new relationship with other partners in Korean language teaching.

The conference is valuable in term of strengthen the relationship with Korean partners as well as enhancing IUH’s image and reputation in region and in the world.
