Leaders from National Dong-Hwa University, Taiwan visit IUH on 10 Aug 2018 10-08-2018
In the afternoon of Aug 10, 2018, the delegation from National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan (NDHU) led by President Chao, Han-Chieh, visited IUH as the first time. IUH’s President, Dr Nguyen Thien Tue Vice Presidents, Dr Le Van Tan and Dr Nguyen Chi Hieu, together with some heads and deans of academic departments and functional offices welcomed and had a meeting with the delegation.
In the meeting, both Presidents introduced to each other their university’s operation as well as development strategies in future including mutual cooperation.

The National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan was established in 1994 as a comprehensive public institution of higher learning with the aims of creating an equal higher education opportunities among different geographical areas in Taiwan. NDHU is the biggest university in the eastern of Taiwan in term of academic and training activities.
There are over 10,000 national and international students studying at NDHU currently, in which, 3,000 are graduate students. Vietnamese students take the largest number of international students in the university. NDHU offers 38 Bachelor’s degree programs, 43 Master’s degree programs, 17 Doctor’s degree programs. Among nearly 500 teaching staff and researchers, 94% are qualified as Doctoral degree. The university is ranked as 271-280 by QS Asia Ranking 2018, and ranked as 201-205 by Time Higher Education.
NDHU is, currently, setting academic relationships with 10 Vietnamese universities. The university also provides scholarships for international students (full or partial), including monthly tip.

IUH’s leaders expressed their wishes in receiving suggestion and advices from NDHU’s experience sharing in term of academic teaching and research; also, the quick launch of cohort programs in term of education quality accreditation and internship exchange.
The meeting finished with some initial agreements on cooperation in near future. The details will be continuously discussed in next meetings.
