IUH and KITECH Forge Alliance with Memorandum of Understanding Signing 19-05-2023
To promote cooperation in the field of Scientific Research and cooperation in international projects, on the morning of May 18, 2023, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) signed a memorandum of understanding.
Mr. Byun Ki Jung, who is the Representative Director of KITECH in Vietnam, along with Ms. Jung Geum Ran, who is the Manager of KITECH in Vietnam, and a group of KITECH researchers and representatives from the Technical Center for Industrial Development Support in the South (IDCS), were present at the ceremony. On the IUH side, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Ngoc Nam, the Head of the Scientific Management and International Affairs office, and representatives from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Technology, and Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology attended.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Nam affirmed the goodwill for cooperation between IUH and KITECH. "Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City is ready to provide technical support and personnel to help conduct trials in the international project "Charging stations for electric bicycles and motorbikes" in a favorable situation" – Mr. Trinh Ngoc Nam shared.

Also, within the ceremony framework, the International Project "Charging stations for electric bicycles and motorcycles" was more comprehensively presented through three presentations by Mr. Kyoung Yong Park - Researcher of KITECH, Mr. Chu Hong Chau - Deputy Director of IDCS Center and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Minh Thuyen - Lecturer of IUH Faculty of Electrical Technology.

During the event, the speakers discussed various aspects of research related to electric battery charging. They emphasized the importance of developing charging stations for electric bicycles and motorcycles that align with the global trend of reducing environmental pollution, conserving energy, and combating emissions worldwide. This shared concern has sparked the interest of scientists worldwide, who are actively seeking solutions to address this pressing issue.
Following the signing of the MOU between IUH and KITECH, numerous new research directions have emerged, which will be further explored in the coming times. Both parties are optimistic about achieving fruitful outcomes through their collaboration, with the potential for generating a multitude of research works as a result of the joint efforts between IUH and KITECH.
