Introduce

The Faculty of Heat and Refrigeration Engineering (FHRE) was officially established in 2008 with the mission of offering modern academic programs that harmoniously combine theory and practice. These programs aim to equip students with comprehensive knowledge, practical skills, and professional attitudes to become highly competent thermal engineering professionals. Through this, the Faculty contributes to providing high-quality human resources to meet the demands of both enterprises and society.

Milestones in Development

- 1999: Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Division

- 2003: Center of Heat and Refrigeration Technology

- 2008: Faculty of Heat and Refrigeration Engineering

Currently, the Faculty has 34 member, including:3 Professors, PhDs; 2 Associate Professors, PhDs; 9 PhDs, 2 Doctoral candidates, 14 Masters, 3 Academic staff and laboratories.

Faculty has 3 department:

- Department of Thermal engineering (management of Thermal Engineering Technology and Postgraduate)

- Department of Energy engineering (management of Energy Engineering Technology and Energy Management)

- Department of Workshop with 12 modern practical laboratories

Function

- Offer academic programs in Thermal Engineering Technology aligned with the University’s Vision – Mission – Objectives.

- Organize teaching and learning activities in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the University, ensuring output standards meet the needs of enterprises and society.

- Conduct scientific research activities in the field of heat and refrigeration.

- Foster enterprise collaboration and international cooperation to enhance the application of scientific advancements and technology transfer.

Mission

1. Academic Development

- Continuously update and adjust academic programs to meet enterprise demands and international integration standards.

- Develop proposals for launching new undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of Heat and Refrigeration Engineering.

- Develop the faculty team, modernize facilities and equipment to support training and research activities

- Establish connections with experts, alumni, and businesses to regularly update and enhance the curriculum, ensuring its alignment with evolving societal trends.

2. Scientific Research and Technology Transfer

- Foster a supportive environment for faculty and students to engage in research, while integrating academic training with practical applications.

- Encourage faculty members to participate in scientific conferences and publish research papers in reputable national and international journals.

- Organize scientific conferences and seminars, developing cooperative projects, and seeking sponsorships for equipment and scholarships.

3. Collaboration and Development

- Promote cooperation with stakeholders to enhance research, scientific publications, and teaching capacity of faculty members.

- Coordinate with stakeholders to organize academic seminars supporting teaching and research activities.

- Develop programs for student and faculty exchanges and collaboration with stakeholders.
