IUH Inaugurates Bridge in Ben Tre: Spreading Humanity, Connecting Communities, Honoring the Legacy of President Ho Chi Minh 19-05-2025

May 19, 2025—In the sacred atmosphere commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH), in collaboration with local authorities, held the inauguration ceremony for the "Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City Bridge" in Hoa Thuan Hamlet, Vinh Binh Commune, Cho Lach District, Ben Tre Province. The project, with a total cost of approximately 600 million VND, was fully funded by IUH and supported by the voluntary labor contributions of residents.

The timing of the bridge's inauguration on President Ho Chi Minh's birthday made the event even more meaningful. It was a practical act of community service, reflecting the spirit of sharing, compassion, and devotion to the people—following the beloved leader's moral example and humble lifestyle.

The Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City Bridge is a rural transport infrastructure project measuring 54 meters long and 3.3 meters wide. It was designed with upgraded features, including a widened approach area. The bridge greatly improves transportation and agricultural logistics for the local community, especially during harvest seasons, when the annual output is 600–700 tons of fruit.

Despite challenges during construction caused by unpredictable weather, the bridge was completed on schedule, thanks to the dedication of the construction team and the villagers' support. The project commenced on February 16 and was completed on April 24, 2025.

This meaningful project was made possible through the connection and mobilization efforts of Cho Lach district leaders, the enthusiastic participation of the local people, and the active support from IUH, particularly Dr. Phan Hong Hai, the university's Rector, who has consistently championed community engagement and sustainable development initiatives.

At the ceremony, the Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee representatives awarded Certificates of Merit to IUH and Rector Dr. Phan Hong Hai in recognition of their significant contributions to rural infrastructure development, helping to improve the quality of life for residents.
