The handover ceremony for IUH university graduates joining the 2024 Reserve Officers Training Program 13-08-2024

On the morning of August 12, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City held a handover ceremony for 20 new engineering graduates who will undergo reserve officer training at the Military School of Military Zone 7 in 2024.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and IUH Vice Rector; Mr. Hoang Do, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of the Student Support Office; Mr. Vu Dinh Le, Deputy Head of the Student Support Office; Mr. Do Khoa Thuy Kha, Deputy Head of the Human Resources and Administration Office; Mr. Pham Quang Tri, Deputy Head of the Academic Affairs Office; Mr. Pham Ngoc Anh, Deputy Director of the Center for National Defence and Physical Education; Mr. Le Van Hoang, Secretary of the University's Youth Union; and leaders from the faculties of Information Technology, Mechanical Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, and Electrical Engineering Technology.

Among those being handed over were 18 full-time engineers and 2 reserve engineers, as outlined in Decision No. 260/QDD-BQP.

In his address at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hong, Vice Rector, highlighted the significance of the political and military responsibilities assigned by the Ministry of National Defense. He emphasized that fulfilling these duties is a civic obligation that the University is committed to upholding to honor national traditions. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hong also congratulated the new engineers joining this year’s reserve officer training course and expressed his confidence that they would successfully complete their assigned tasks.

On behalf of the new engineers admitted in this batch, Mr. Vu Minh Quang expressed gratitude to the university’s leaders. He conveyed his deep awareness of his civic responsibilities and pride in contributing to the nation's development and defense. Mr. Minh Quang assured that he and his peers are committed to diligently performing their duties in the reserve officer training course and fulfilling their obligations to the Fatherland.

Participating in the reserve officer training course offers students an opportunity to develop their personal qualities, ethics, and lifestyle. It not only fosters their individual growth but also contributes to the creation of a well-rounded reserve officer force. This force, in terms of both quantity and quality, is essential for meeting the requirements and tasks set by the Party and the State.
