Online Induction program - A very special K17 at IUH 16-09-2021

From September 11, 2021, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) organized an online Induction program for new students of the 17th cohort of the 2021-2022 academic year.

The Induction program was organized online.

Due to the impact of covid-19, the Induction program for K17 IUHers was organized via the Zoom App. This is the first time the Induction has been held online. However, it is also exciting and lively with lots of useful information for new students.

Despite the absence of previous year’s specific Induction activities such as the exciting entrance of new students, or the introduction of school clubs, this year's Induction is very interesting. The training units have actively contacted many external businesses to be able to introduce career orientation to students right from the first year. Some units utilized this time to introduce students through elaborately staged videos and minigames to facilitate students to retain the Induction data better.

Induction is an annual program for new students at the beginning of each academic year of IUH. The organization of activities is very practical, helping to provide useful information to guide students to familiarize themselves with the new learning environment. Thereby, students can understand the overview of the school, departments, faculties, institutes, understand the rules, learning regulations, understand what they need to do, thereby helping them overcome surprises, concerns and worries to be more secure and confident to start the new school year.

In addition to the credit system, the study plan for each semester and training points, the functional guidance of departments, how to register and use the email account at the school, the Induction program also instructs new students to use the library's resources to effectively serve their studies and research. In addition, teachers also integrate such useful content as life skills: alerting scammers in sophisticated forms, how to find hostels, how to search for reliable part-time jobs,...

This is also an opportunity for K17 IUHers to learn more about the Union - Association and the movement activities, clubs, groups for students. These are useful equipment for K17 "rookies", helping them understand more about the university environment and be ready for the exciting and enthusiastic student days to come.
