IUH's Heartwarm Moon Festival 01-10-2023

The spirited youth of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City have once again brightened the smiles of countless children through their enthusiastic participation in meaningful activities across various localities during the 2023 Mid-Autumn Festival.

As one of the yearly traditions of the Union across campuses, beginning in August 2023, IUH students, distinguished by the various colors of their faculty, institute, club, team, or group, have diligently organized their respective Mid-Autumn Festival initiatives. These preparations encompass activities such as recruiting volunteer collaborators, conducting fundraising campaigns, and more. The initial half of September marks the moment when these units embark on their journeys to local communities, delivering heartwarming and meaningful gifts to children. Here are some of the noteworthy activities undertaken by the units under Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City:


Music Club: "Smiles Aglow in the Mid-Autumn Season" in Binh Phuoc Province.


Faculty of Commerce and Tourism: "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love - Spreading Happiness Anew" in My Quy Dong Commune, Duc Hue District, Long An Province.
YCC Youth Connect Club: "Moonlit Magic in the Highlands."


IUH Skills Club: "Dreamy Moon" at An Nhon Tay Primary School, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.


Faculty of Information Technology and Faculty of Foreign Languages: "Brightening Tan Phuoc Kindergarten" in Hamlet 7, Tan Phuoc Commune, Go Cong Dong District, Tien Giang Province.
Faculty of Refrigeration Technology and Faculty of Garment Technology - Fashion: "Embracing the Warmth of Mid-Autumn 2023" in An Phu Thuan Commune, Chau Thanh District, Dong Thap Province.

In addition to the volunteer initiatives on the frontlines, the "Tet Reunion" season of 2023 at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City featured a diverse array of thrilling activities. These included captivating art performances, mooncake-making contests, and lantern-making competitions, among others.

On September 16, 2023, the IUH Students' Union organized a lively lantern-making competition. Each lantern was meticulously crafted, preserving the timeless tradition of Mid-Autumn Festival aesthetics in Vietnam. The age-old custom of the "Moon Night Light Parade" is a cherished memory for us, evoking the enchanting skies of our childhood and the beautiful recollections associated with each lantern during every full moon in August.

Following the lantern-making competition, the IUH Students' Union will host the "Decent Taste of the Moon Festival" baking competition on September 17, 2023, at the Hospitality Practice Area (Faculty of Commerce and Tourism). This event will see active engagement from 18 teams representing various Faculty/Institute, Club/Team/Group units from across the school.

On the evening of September 21, 2023, the Students' Union of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City hosted a musical extravaganza titled "Moon Night," drawing a substantial audience of the university's students. The event featured an array of enthralling musical performances, skillfully prepared by various faculties, institutes, clubs, teams, and groups within the university. Additionally, as part of the concert, the university's Students' Union presented prizes to the victorious teams of the Lantern Making Contest and the Moon Cake Making Contest.

The "Sharing Golden Moon" initiative at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City has not only brought a slice of the complete happiness akin to the August full moon to children in numerous localities but also rekindled the childhood joy for IUH students.

The "Sharing Golden Moon" program is scheduled to take place from September 16 to September 23, 2023, with 16 organizing teams, each dedicated to specific regions, including Tien Giang, Dong Thap, Binh Phuoc, Long An, Ben Tre, Can Gio District in Ho Chi Minh City, Ward 6 and Ward 16 in Go Vap District, Cu Chi District in Ho Chi Minh City, and Binh Thuan. A grand total of almost 900 volunteers will participate in this campaign. The program aims to distribute a total of 5,000 gifts, funded with an allocation of nearly 400 million VND.
