Emergence of the award winner for the contest "2nd Startup Innovation 2022" at IUH 18-06-2023

On 17/06/2023, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) organized the Final Round of the 2nd Startup Innovation Contest 2022 – INNOGREENLIFE 2022".

The "2nd Startup Innovation Contest 2022" was launched in May last year, attracting nearly 70 projects and ideas. Outperforming the remaining teams, 10 best projects and ideas reached the final round of the competition.

These are projects and ideas with products revolving around the themes of creating green space, protecting the environment, reducing emissions, saving energy, food, resources and improving the quality of human life. The purpose of the contest is also to promote breakthrough projects, ideas and start-up products in research that can bring transformation to society and the living environment.

Speaking in front of the guests representing enterprises, investment funds, a large number of lecturers, students and especially the 10 finalists of the contest, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu – the Vice Rector, emphasized: "In addition to training and scientific and technological research, Entrepreneurship Innovation is an important task of IUH, especially for projects related to the environment. Over the years, the university has paid attention to investing and strongly promoting these tasks, manifested in the increasing quantity and quality of implemented projects, domestic and foreign scientific publications. Among them, there are many scientific topics and products that have been applied, bringing benefits to the economy and society."

Next, the 10 finalists had the opportunity to present their projects and ideas to the judges and attendees.

With the scientific, serious, meticulous, fair spirit ... The jury selected the First, Second and Third awards and the awards of Most Innovative Project, Most Popular Project, Best Startup Student, Best Female Founder and Most Impressive Startup Project at the Final of the 2nd Startup Innovation Contest 2022.

Details as follows:

  • The first prize was presented to the idea of "IUHCODER - Automated coding and classroom management platform".
  • The second prize was presented to the idea "Design and manufacture a rehabilitation exoskeleton actuator for the hand based on 3D printing of bioplastics".
  • The third prize was presented to the idea of "Weed treatment machine to replace chemicals".
  • The most popular project award for the idea of "Solar agricultural dryer fed heat from phase transition material".
  • The most impressive project award was presented to the idea "Coffee wine - Take advantage of the discarded part of coffee fruit when processing to ferment into beverages".
  • The Best Female Founder Award was presented to contestant Nguyen Thi Van – Banking University.
  • "Smart Water Meter" ideas; "Trading and manufacturing bath bombs from natural origin"; "High-tech baby shrimp farming" and "Stalaginseng" co-won the Consolation prize of the competition.

Based on the results achieved at the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit, Medals and prizes to the winning teams and individuals with a total value of up to 60 million VND.
